See all the major sights and monuments of Washington, DC lit up for the night on this comprehensive tour of the nation’s capital.
The tour begins at the U.S. Navy Memorial at 701 Pennsylvania Ave. NW - halfway between the White House and the U.S. Capitol - and will bring you a unique and breathtaking look at our nation's capital!
On your way to the U.S. Capitol Building (the first stop) you pass the National Archives, which houses historic U.S. documents - the original Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. In route, you will also see the Newseum, the Canadian Embassy, and the National Gallery of Art.
Emerging in sight will be the U.S. Capitol, where you'll take in a memorable, two-mile long, panoramic view of the Smithsonian Museums (the largest museum complex in the world), and the Washington Monument (the tallest, freestanding stone structure in the world), flooded with lights creating an unforgettable experience.
On your way to the White House, you'll pass the U.S. Botanic Garden, Grant's Memorial, The U.S. Navy Memorial, the Robert F. Kennedy Department of Justice, and the J. Edgar Hoover Federal Bureau of Investigation.
When arriving at the White House, you'll see the Executive Residence of the President and his family, as well as the Dwight D. Eisenhower Executive Office Building. This stop also includes a walk past Lafayette Park, honoring the Marquis de Lafayette, leader of French forces.
Next, your next stop is the National World War II Memorial. Along the way, you will see the headquarters of the American Red Cross, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Organization of American States (OAS).
Once finished at the World War II Memorial, you will visit the beautiful Jefferson Memorial which was built from 1938 1943 on the Tidal Basin, lined with cherry trees that were a gift of friendship to the People of the United States from the People of Japan.
Across the Tidal Basin you'll visit the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial dedicated in 2011; quite a sight, at night!
On the walking part of the tour, you will visit the Korean War Veterans Memorial, and via a nice stroll along the tree line, you will emerge in front of the Lincoln Memorial and Vietnam Veterans Memorials.
On the way to the last stop at the U.S. Navy Memorial, you will, once more, be able to take in a twinkling, and spectacular view of the Washington, DC landscape.

We had Henry as our guide and he was PERFECT, knowledge, humor and a true compassion of what he was doing!!

  • Renee M2019-04-15

The night tour was great. What a beautiful city and the monuments were fantastic. Tour staff was very friendly and informative.

  • Diane D2019-04-15

Christopher and Mike were very informative and friendly. Chris was very comical. It was on time and ended on time. The bus was very comfortable. Helped us on and on the bus. We got to see a lot in three hours. We would recommend this tour for sure.. We were offered complimentary water. We saw Washington D.C. during the day but at night it is more impressive.

Anne Marie was very knowledgeable about all of the buildings we passed by and had some "extra" information and stories to share.

  • Carl F2019-04-05

The sound of the bus moving was noisy and I couldn't hear the guide's remarks. He had no microphone. He would also say and over there is such and such. In the darkened bus I couldn't tell which direction he was pointing. When someone would ask him a question, we couldn't hear and he didn't repeat it so we could be included. Also it was all very rushed claiming the traffic was heavy and we couldn't see all the scheduled stops.

It was a wonderful experience. I was able to see all the monuments at night without all the walking! The guide was great and had some really good trivia questions to keep us occupied during the ride.

  • Debra S2019-04-02

Lovely weather made for perfect sightseeing evening. Our guide Dale was full of historical details albeit a bit loud. Pace yourself during the day for 3 intensive hours of additional walking. We were definitely exhausted at 10:30p. But worth the $ and time.

Excellent tour. Too fast paced for my father who walks with a cane. Nonetheless, the tour guide and bus driver made sure to take my father to the Vietnam War Memorial and let him spend 30-40 minutes there while the rest of the passengers were seeing the other sites. Kuddos to the driver and guide! Would hightly recommend this tour!

Our guide Christopher did an amazing job. He was very knowledgable as well as funny. We really enjoyed touring the monuments at night. I highly recommend it for everyone!

  • Karen T2019-03-18

The 3 of us loved our adventure. We were only in town for the evening and I had never been to DC before. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly the monuments were spectacular at night
